Always give way to pedestrians on crossings, to other vehicles already

at intersections and when making lefthand turns. When approaching a four-way stop, always give priority to whichever vehicle/s were there first.

The legal blood-alcohol limit in Canada is 0.8% so it’s generally safer not to drink anything at all if you’re driving.

 

Q: What does a flashing green light at traffic lights indicate?

 

A: This means you have right of way to make a right turn.

 

Q: What language are road signs written in?

 

A: Road signs are usually in English and French except in Montreal where French has been replaced with pictograms – making life a lot easier for tourists.
